Digital health for the End TB Strategy: progress since 2015 and future perspectives
Anyone with an internet connection can attend virtually a technical consultation on Tuesday, February 7 and Wednesday, February 8 on Digital health for the End TB Strategy: progress since 2015 and future perspectives, organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) Global TB Programme in collaboration with the European Respiratory Society.
Since 2015, the Global TB Programme of WHO and the European Respiratory Society (ERS) have worked together to raise the profile of digital technologies as a means to help national TB programmes worldwide to advance towards the goals of WHO’s End TB Strategy.
The meeting will look at the advances made over the past 2 years and present the state of the evidence for the effectiveness of common digital health approaches to improve TB treatment adherence, discuss the implementation of priority technologies for TB care, and present novel approaches and constructs which can influence efforts to end TB in the future.
The meeting will bring together over 40 experts from a broad cross-section of expertise in TB and other disease programmes, digital health, evidence review, laboratory science, and programme management, as well as funding agencies and end-users.
