About Mikaela Watson

Mikaela Watson joined FIND in August 2023 as an Associate Biostatistician to provide statistical support to FIND’s health programmes in their research projects, including analytical studies, clinical trials, validation studies, and operational and implementation research.

Before joining FIND, Mikaela worked as a study coordinator at a site in Cape Town, South Africa, supporting the operations of various clinical research studies. She is eager to weave the practical insights gained from this hands-on experience into the realm of protocol development and statistical analysis.

Mikaela is currently pursuing an MSc in Epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh, UK, and holds a BSc (Med) (Hons) in Exercise Science (2018) and a BSc in Biochemistry and Human Physiology (2017) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
