A propos de Kevin Tetteh

Kevin joined FIND in January 2023 as Director of the Fever & Malaria programme. Previously he was an Associate Professor of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). He brings to the role over 20 years of experience of working in academia, in the biotherapeutics industry and with industrial partners. He combines this expertise with a passion for using innovative approaches to help address healthcare concerns. As programme lead, he will build and nurture strategic partnerships in the public and private space to help deliver equitable diagnostic solutions to address disease concerns.

As part of his previous portfolio Kevin has led initiatives to support the strengthening of research programmes at partner sites across East to West Africa and in Southeast Asia, supporting the transfer of expertise and technology across sites. He has used interdisciplinary approaches to address questions around infection and disease surveillance, including zoonoses to address unmet needs.

Kevin holds a BSc in Applied Biology from the University of East London and a PhD in Molecular and Biochemical Parasitology from the University of Edinburgh. He also serves as a member of international faculty at the University of Ghana as part of the WACCBIP (West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens) programme and serves as mentor on the IAVI (International AIDS Vaccine Initiative) leadership programme.
