A propos de Kyra Grantz

Kyra Grantz joined FIND in May 2023 as a Scientist in the Impact Unit.

Kyra has broad expertise in infectious disease dynamics and epidemiology. Her research uses a range of mathematical and statistical approaches to evaluate disease transmission and control, particularly among underserved and hard-to-reach populations. Her work has used epidemiologic, pathogen genetic, and modeling evidence to support the design of Hepatitis C elimination programs among people who inject drugs; to evaluate the spatial distribution of dengue virus; to assess methods of collecting human mobility and contact data; and to track the spread of emerging diseases. She was extensively involved in research and public health response during the COVID-19 pandemic, including standing up a flexible scenario modeling pipeline used by dozens of local and state health departments in the US. She previously worked for MSF-Epicentre, providing analytic and operational support to a variety of clinical trials, cohort studies, surveys, and outbreak responses, and at the University of Florida as a research assistant in the Infectious Disease Dynamics group.

Kyra obtained a PhD in epidemiology and MHS in biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also holds a BA in Biology and Molecular Engineering from the University of Chicago.
