A propos de Rosalind Howes

Rosalind joined FIND in June 2019 and is currently a Senior Scientific Officer in the Fever and Pneumonia team, based in Geneva. She is responsible for malaria projects, including the development and evaluation of new diagnostic tools and strategies to increase access to diagnosis. Rosalind has a particular interest in Plasmodium vivax malaria and G6PD deficiency, with more than ten years’ experience in this field.

Before joining FIND, she was an epidemiologist with the Malaria Atlas Project (MAP) research group, studying the spatial patterns of malaria and associated human genetic traits including the Duffy blood group and G6PD deficiency. Rosalind has also worked with the National Malaria Control Programme in Madagascar, supporting intervention planning and leading field studies with collaborators from Case Western Reserve University, USA.

Rosalind received her BA in Biological Sciences and DPhil in malaria epidemiology from the University of Oxford, UK.
