About Sacha Laurent

Sacha joined FIND in 2020 and is currently a Scientific Officer working for the Seq&Treat project in the TB programme, acting as Bioinformatician for the implementation of tools and the database for accelerating the diagnostics of antimicrobial resistance in TB, in collaboration with the WHO. He holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Modeling from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Lyon, France (2011) and a PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne (2016). After completing his PhD, he worked for a year and a half at the Institute of Microbiology, CHUV, Lausanne, where he acquired experience in the analysis of high throughput sequencing data for diagnostic purposes.

In 2018 he joined the Medical Genetics Service of the University Hospitals of Geneva where he was in charge of the bioinformatic analyses of the whole exome sequencing data generated for the diagnosis of Medelian diseases.
