A propos de Serafina Calarco

Serafina is a biochemist with more than 6 years of academic research experience. She did her doctoral studies at the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine of Bern University working on the role of endocannabinoids in inflammatory pathways.

Before joining FIND she worked as Scientific Collaborator for a spin-off startup from Adolphe Merkle Institute (Fribourg), developing a new, sensitive device for malaria detection.
Beside research, she is passionate about science communication and she is a core member of 500 women scientists, an organization that promote and support women is science.
