FIND opened its South Africa office in 2014 (FIND DX NPC).

FIND has a range of partners in South Africa, from the traditional academic institutions that undertake diagnostic evaluations to local non-governmental organizations (e.g. South African Health Products Regulatory Authority) and diagnostic manufacturers (e.g. Cape Biologix).

The South Africa office has a strong focus on tuberculosis, but is also working on projects related to COVID-19, non-communicable diseases and antimicrobial resistance. FIND is currently involved with 14 clinical trials, six implementation studies and 13 other studies in South Africa.
