Assay-based HIV incidence estimation: Sample size calculation tools

In collaboration with the Consortium for Evaluation and Performance of HIV Incidence Assays (CEPHIA) and with the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, FIND and SACEMA have created several web-based applications to facilitate the calculation of sample sizes required for the following purposes involving the use of laboratory assays to estimate HIV incidence:

To explore the relationship between an incidence assay’s mean duration of recent infection (MDRI), false recent rate (FRR) and sample size for measurement of incidence in two cross-sectional surveys (e.g., to measure a change in incidence following a prevention intervention): https://finddx.shinyapps.io/Sample_size_calculator/
