Interactive website maps the status and estimated release dates of diagnostic solutions
FIND has developed an interactive and dynamic online tool to map the status and estimated release dates of diverse diagnostic solutions. The Diagnostic Pipeline Tracker allows stakeholders to visualize the diagnostic landscape and predict when products may be available for implementation. The Pipeline Tracker currently features the TB diagnostics landscape and in the future will include all of the diseases in FIND’s portfolio.
The Diagnostic Pipeline Tracker includes both a status and timeline view. The status view is based on the stages of the TB Diagnostics Critical Pathway, an online tool supported by FIND and partners that guides innovators in developing their ideas from research to roll-out. The timeline view illustrates the approximate date of commercial availability in low- and middle-income countries for each product, based on data that is publicly available.
The Pipeline Tracker demonstrates the progress of novel diagnostic tools and allows for the visualization of data including company name and size, type of product and technology, lowest healthcare level in which the product can be used, and target product profile or target condition for classification. Users are able to filter for target product profiles, health level, company size, whether or not it is a FIND project and eventually, disease.
FIND’s work in the development of these tools is supported by the Australian government and UK aid from the UK government.
