Each year, on the sidelines of the world’s largest conference on lung health, the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) and the Stop TB Partnership’s New Diagnostics Working Group (NDWG) organize a joint symposium to highlight the latest developments in tuberculosis (TB) diagnostics R&D.

This year’s symposium—Lighting the path to TB care: Advances in diagnostics—will take place on Wednesday, 30 October 2019, from 13:00–17:00 at the Cyber Convention Centre, Room PEARL (1&2), 10 & 11 Near Meenakshi Sky Lounge, Off, Hitex Road, Izzath Nagar, Kondapur, Hyderabad, India.

Symposium Chairs: Catharina Boehme, FIND and Daniela Cirillo, San Raffaele Scientific Institute.

The symposium is open to all and will begin with a welcome coffee and some snacks. We look forward to seeing you in Hyderabad. RSVP here.

The 50th Union conference on lung health comes one year after the first-ever United Nations (UN) High-Level Meeting on tuberculosis (TB) and the third UN High-Level Meeting on non-communicable diseases. The theme, Ending the Emergency: Science, Leadership, Action, focuses on what is needed to ensure that commitments become action and that lifesaving targets are met. The conference theme raises awareness that all threats to lung health – TB, air pollution, tobacco, and others – are emergencies that our science, leadership, and health community need to meet head-on.
