FIND 2021–23 strategy: consultation now open
FIND is in the process of finalizing a new strategy for the period 2021–23. We are aiming to conclude the overall orientation, business model, and programmes by early February 2021. Our organization is at a critical moment in its history – never before have diagnostics and testing been so much in the spotlight, but never before have we seen how much a pandemic can potentially reverse the global health progress of the past decades.
It is by navigating through this ‘new normal’ that we have tried, as far as possible, to learn lessons from COVID-19 and our co-leadership of the ACT-Accelerator Diagnostics Pillar, as well as the work and experiences from our last strategic period. Applying these learnings will help us pave the way to easy, quality, affordable testing for vulnerable populations.
In our new strategy, we aim to bridge the fundamental elements of universal health coverage (UHC) and global health security, to help change the landscape for testing in low- and middle-income countries in a sustainable way. By striving to create a better balance between supply and demand, the overall ecosystem will benefit – and will enable us to build back better after COVID-19.
We are inviting feedback on our strategic direction, and welcome input from our stakeholders. Here we provide documents outlining our thinking, and a link to a short survey where you can provide your comments. In case of queries, please contact us.
The deadline for feedback has been extended to 15 March 2021. Thank you.
