About Birgitta Gleeson

Birgitta joined FIND on July as Scientific Officer reporting to Head of AMR and Head of Pandemic Preparedness. Birgitta is a passionate life scientist with experience working in both academia and humanitarian aid. She holds a PhD in Medicine and an MSc in Immunology and Global Health. After completing her PhD she transitioned into the area clinical research where she was responsible for the development and co-ordination of both academic and commercial clinical research studies.

For the past two years Birgitta has been working as a Laboratory Activity Manager with Médecins Sans Frontières in Uzbekistan, and most recently in Afghanistan.
