About Elvis Safary

Elvis joined FIND in 2021 and is currently Scientific Officer in the NCD programme. He has over 10 years’ global health experience at regional and international level, with special focus on health interventions related to HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, health system strengthening, and sexual, reproductive, maternal and newborn health, including gender issues.

His field experience was acquired in Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Germany. Prior to joining FIND, Elvis worked on projects to overcome health services access and integration of NCD into other disease programmes in low- and middle-income countries. Before that, he was a Senior Programme & Health System Strengthening Advisor on several projects with NGOs supporting DFID, USAID and Global Fund interventions on HIV, tuberculosis, HSS and community engagement.

Elvis holds a Master of Public Health, a Bachelor of Nursing Sciences and a diploma in management of information technology. He is currently completing his PhD in Global Health Epidemiology at Heidelberg University, Institute of Global Health.
