About Hanesh Chi

Hanesh is a Molecular Biologist with extensive research and laboratory strengthening experience, based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. He joined FIND in August 2019 as Scientific Officer, Pandemic Preparedness and has been coordinating the ground work for pandemic–prone disease and capacity building projects in West Africa, under FIND’s Emerging Threats programme.

Before joining FIND, Hanesh served as Zonal Laboratory Coordinator for the Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (PHIA) in Cameroon where he led the implementation of HIV rapid diagnosis quality assurance in several laboratories across the country. Hanesh has also served as the technical lead for several tropical disease research projects in Cameroon.

In addition to his extensive experience as a SLIPTA auditor and QMS mentor for several regional and reference laboratories across Africa, he has led GCLP implementation projects to capacitate laboratories to perform high quality clinical trials and studies.
