About Thuy Linh Nguyen

Linh had over 15 years in participation of national and international research projects as investigator and coordinator for studies of infectious disease control; drug resistance mutations of HIV, HBV, HCV; SARS-CoV-2 molecular characteristics, NGS sequencing for Dengue, HIV, SARS-CoV-2, investigation of bloodborne viruses, Arbovirus and respiratory virus prevalence.

Linh had significant experience in development and maintenance of ISO 15189 for medical laboratory for serology and molecular biology testing and in technical training, validation and evaluation of in-house and commercial serology and molecular biology assays for testing in accordance with ISO 15189 standards and WHO standard (for HIV drug resistance testing).

Before joining FIND, Linh had worked for 15 years in National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Vietnam in bio-medical research. During these years, Linh obtained Master degree of Science in Clinical Virology Diagnostics and PhD degree in Medical Microbiology in National Virus Reference Laboratory, University College Dublin, Ireland with valuable experience of practice and research in UCD.
