FIND announces appointment of Dr Jutta Reinhard-Rupp as Chief Scientific Officer

The FIND Board are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Jutta Reinhard-Rupp as Chief Scientific Officer of FIND. Dr Reinhard-Rupp, who will start in post in October, is an established leader in global health, bringing over 20 years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry to FIND. As Chief Scientific Officer, she will oversee FIND’s broad technology portfolio, leading research and development for new innovations to drive forward FIND’s mission to ensure equitable access to diagnostics.

Dr Reinhard-Rupp previously headed the Merck Global Health Institute as an innovative social business model. Throughout her tenure, she spearheaded R&D activities, developing life-saving drugs and diagnostics for neglected populations across low- and middle-income countries. She also pioneered Merck’s first company-wide “Access to Health” strategy and led the first public-private partnership in Global Health within Merck to combat schistosomiasis, a devastating neglected tropical disease.
