FIND Board Chair Dr Ayoade Alakija recognised among Top 20 Leaders Shaping Health Across Africa

FIND welcomes the recognition of its Board Chair, Dr Ayoade Alakija, as one of the Top 20 Leaders Shaping Health Across Africa in 2025 by Meridian Letters.

This recognition reflects Dr Alakija’s sustained leadership across global health and particularly her work in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Region and other and other low- and middle-income countries, including:

• Advancing innovation and equitable access to diagnostics for low- and middle-income countries through her leadership at FIND.
• Championing the global fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR), including her role as Nigeria’s Ministerial Global Envoy on AMR.
• Contributing to the evolution of global health architecture through her appointment to the Accra Reset High-Level Consultative Group.
• Playing a key leadership role in the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator (ACT-Accelerator), helping drive global collaboration and access to COVID-19 diagnostics, treatments and vaccines.
• Strengthening African and global health equity through continued advocacy, partnership-building and system reform efforts.
