Mr Thomas Cueni joins FIND Board of Directors

Thomas Cueni
Geneva, Switzerland - 08/04/2025.

FIND is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Thomas Cueni to the FIND Board, along with the reappointment of Dr Ayoade Alakija as Chair of the FIND Board.

Mr Thomas Cueni is former Director General of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (IFPMA). During his time at IFPMA, Mr Cueni played a pivotal role in addressing global health challenges, including leading the pharmaceutical industry’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Cueni brings deep pharmaceutical industry expertise and longstanding experience in global health collaboration to FIND. The FIND Board had previously noted the value of such experience and leadership and therefore resolved to appoint Mr Cueni to the Board of Directors.

Mr Cueni said, “I am excited to be able to join FIND’s Board of Directors at this critical time in global health. In my time as Director General of the IFPMA, I have seen how governments and citizens have transformed their understanding about the critical importance of diagnostics to achieving health for all. I look forward to contributing my expertise and networks to supporting FIND’s mission as we double down on efforts to implement the Diagnostics Resolution and accelerate access to diagnostics. My longstanding commitment to improving access to diagnostic, including through initiatives such as the Berlin Declaration and my work to increasing efforts to address challenges related to anti-microbial resistance, aligns closely with FIND’s mission.”
