Future of TB

At a High-Level Meeting held on Monday 11 November in Bali just prior to the annual Union World Conference on Lung Health, the Indonesian government called for swift action to combat tuberculosis (TB) through innovative and transformative approaches. The Indonesian Ministry of Health brought together global health leaders including FIND, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the TB Alliance to articulate their vision of how innovation and collaborative action can bring about a paradigm shift in how TB is prevented, diagnosed, and treated.

Innovators’ panel | The future of TB response: better, simpler, and safer

FIND’s Chief Transformation Officer/CEO, Dr. Ifedayo Adetifa, chaired the session that explored the latest breakthroughs, emerging technologies, and innovative strategies that are transforming TB screening and diagnosis. The session highlighted cutting-edge research alongside real-world implementation successes, showcasing how advancements are making TB screening faster, more accurate, and more accessible.

Panelists shared their insights, experiences, and future visions, focusing on how to improve TB screening and diagnosis strategies to be more effective, community-centered, and scalable, ultimately driving progress towards ending TB globally.
