Mr Taihitu P. Bonanza joins FIND’s Board, strengthening global leadership for equitable access to diagnostics

Geneva, Switzerland - 13/05/2026.

FIND, following a recent Board meeting, announced the appointment of Mr. Taihitu P. Bonanza  to its Board, bringing deep expertise in global health diplomacy, multilateral engagement and health systems strengthening at a pivotal moment for international cooperation in health.

Mr. Bonanza currently serves as Senior Advisor to Indonesia’s Minister of Health on Political Affairs and Global Health and Director of the Centre for Global Health & Technology Policy at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Over the course of his career, he has played a central role in advancing Indonesia’s global health agenda, strengthening preparedness from Puskesmas (primary care) to tertiary care for emerging infectious diseases, supporting cancer elimination efforts and promoting a One Health approach to health systems resilience.

His distinguished diplomatic career includes being Permanent Envoy of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations and the WTO in Geneva, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations in New York as well as senior roles in Brussels and Luxembourg.

Mr. Bonanza brings extensive experience across Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Health, combining diplomatic expertise with strategic leadership in global health,” said Budi G. Sadikin, Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, said:“ His background in multilateral negotiations, including service in Geneva, and his current role in advancing global health cooperation position him to effectively support FIND’s mission in expanding equitable access to diagnostics and strengthening international partnerships.”

As countries navigate growing health threats and increasing pressure on health systems due in part to rising non communicable diseases and longer lifesapns, Mr. Bonanza appointment reinforces FIND’s commitment to building stronger partnerships between governments, global institutions and communities to ensure access to life-saving cost-effective diagnostics to help early detection, which can dramatically improve peoples health and overall wellness.
