FIND Board Announces Board Chair Transition

The Board of FIND today announced that Dr. Ayoade Alakija will step down as Chair of the Board, effective 10 July 2026.

The Board thanks Dr. Ayoade Alakija for her service to FIND since assuming the role of Chair in July 2023 and acknowledges the time and commitment she has dedicated to the organization to maintain its profile and role in global public health.

The Board has appointed Professor Marcel Tanner as Interim Chair with immediate effect to ensure the transition, launch the search and appointment of a new chair and of additional board members.

The Interim Chair together with the Board stated that:

“The Board remains committed to ensuring continuity of FIND’s strategy and activities as well as to introduce FIND into the global public health landscape at national and international levels. Our focus is on strengthening the organization, reinforcing confidence among our partners and stakeholders, and advancing FIND’s mission to expand equitable access to quality diagnostics worldwide. We look forward to working closely with our donors, country partners, WHO, industry and civil society as we build the next chapter for FIND.”
