Geneva, Switzerland - 08/07/2025.

FIND today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to establish a framework of cooperation  to facilitate joint work to support Asian countries. The agreement was announced at the Partnership Night of the 1st INSPIRE (Inclusive, Sustainable, Prosperous and Resilient) Health Systems in Asia and the Pacific event taking place in Manila, Philippines from 07 to 11 July 2025.

Under this partnership, FIND and ADB will join forces to strengthen regional capacities for pandemic preparedness and response; expand access to quality diagnostics by strengthening regional manufacturing efforts and building laboratory capacity; support innovation and responsible adoption of digital health technologies; and enhance disease surveillance to improve health security across Asia and the Pacific.

Ms Inagaki Ayako, Senior Director, Human and Social Development Sector Office, ADB, said, “We are very pleased to partner with FIND. Their depth of experience and technical expertise will enable us to advance our goal of supporting innovation, preparing for future pandemics, and expanding access to tools for health to all the people of the Asia-Pacific region.”

ADB’s mission is to assist developing member countries to reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of their people, including through inclusive and environmentally sustainable actions for health that will promote the achievement of universal health coverage in the Asia-Pacific region.

FIND has worked for more than 20 years to ensure equitable access to reliable diagnosis through diagnostic innovation and working with partners to make testing an integral part of sustainable and resilient health systems.

In the Asia-Pacific region, FIND has previously carried out similar initiatives, including strengthening laboratory capacity for TB diagnosis in India, evaluating the performance of blood glucose meters and HbA1c point-of-care devices in Cambodia; expanding access to hepatitis C diagnostics in in Malaysia and Myanmar; and supporting regional manufacturing initiatives in Indonesia.

Dr Dayo Adetifa, CEO and Chief Transformation Officer of FIND, said, “ADB has a long history of investing in the health and wellbeing of communities across Asia and the Pacific. We are looking forward to collaborating with the ADB to develop and deploy innovative tools and approaches that will ensure that everyone can access the diagnostic tools when and where they need them.”
