Sex and gender analysis across the diagnostic value chain

Sex and gender work should be integrated across the diagnostic value chain, to ensure we ask the right questions, collect the right data and conduct meaningful analyses at each stage. When we look at the entire diagnostic value chain, it is important to continuously refine the questions we ask in order to create a virtuous cycle of improvement from a sex and gender point of view, ultimately leading to more evidence-based learning and decision making in healthcare.

Based on consultations with FIND scientists and external experts, we have developed key sex and gender questions that can be used to improve gender equality across the diagnostic value chain.
