FIND at World Hepatitis Summit 2026

FIND’s work on community-powered pathways to viral hepatitis elimination recognized at the World Hepatitis Summit 2026

At the World Hepatitis Summit 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, FIND delivered a presentation on “People Who Inject Drugs (PWIDs) in Action: community-powered pathways to viral hepatitis elimination in Meghalaya, India”

This inspiring global platform, led by the World Hepatitis Alliance, brought together policymakers, researchers, advocates, civil society, and communities—united by one urgent mission: hepatitis elimination for everyone, everywhere, right now.

FIND’s presentation highlighted the transformative power of community leadership in hepatitis elimination. It underscored how PWIDs are not just beneficiaries of programmes, but are changemakers, peer leaders, and essential partners in designing solutions that are inclusive, effective, and sustainable. As part of this project, FIND has been screening PWIDs for the Hepatitis B and C in Meghalaya, India and linking those found positive to care.

FIND’s abstract was selected among the top five at the Summit and was awarded a scholarship in recognition of the quality of the work and abstract submitted.

Real change starts with the community. This gathering was fuelled by a global spirit of collaboration where lived experiences and shared ideas forged a single, unbreakable resolve to leave no one behind.
