Scientific conference on malaria elimination

The National Malaria Control Program or Programme National de Lutte contre le Paludisme (PNLP) of Madagascar is holding a one-day conference on malaria control and elimination in the capital of Antananarivo on Wednesday, 17 April 2019. Dr Xavier Ding, Malaria Team Leader, FIND, will be presenting a talk titled Malaria diagnosis: Challenges and opportunities in the elimination context. Experts from Roll Back Malaria (RBM), Institut Pasteur – Madagascar (IPM), the Ministry of Health and other organizations will be presenting and discussing the results of important studies in the country. Dr Kenneth Staley, Coordinator of the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) in Washington, will be talking about malaria elimination as part of the panel discussion which will be broadcasted over the radio.
