The need for innovative NTD diagnostics to achieve 2030 road map targets

Diagnostics is a priority area requiring constant development if the neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) targets are to be achieved. Since infection and prevalence of NTDs are decreasing, new tests are required for changing treatment frequency, knowing when to stop mass treatment and maintain appropriate levels of surveillance; and for validation or verification of elimination.

On Thursday, 28 October 2021, Prof Joseph Ndung’u, Head of FIND Kenya, will join a distinguished panel to discuss current efforts to address diagnostic gaps, assess progress and highlight outstanding areas that require urgent and ongoing attention.
