About Archana Beri

Dr Archana Beri joined FIND in January 2021 as Medical Officer. She is a Clinical Microbiologist trained in infectious diseases, laboratory medicine, and hospital and laboratory quality systems, with expertise in clinical research, public health development and health diplomacy. She brings with her more than 15 years’ experience in international health, programme management, laboratory diagnosis, clinical medicine and artificial intelligence in life sciences.

During a stint with the U.S. CDC, Dr Beri worked with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt of India, in laboratory and health systems strengthening for HIV reference labs. She played a key role in strategizing and implementing the multi-stakeholder ‘Cluster Strategy’ under PEPFAR for Maharashtra. Her work involved planning and implementation of CDC’s TB flagship program in India and HIV-TB coordination under NACO. She is a contributor to multiple national guidelines, including QMS and HIV testing under the National AIDS Control Program, MoHFW. Her work has added to CDC’s OneHealth and Zoonotic Disease prioritization efforts in India.

Dr Beri completed her MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College & Sion Hospital, Mumbai, and received her MD in Clinical Microbiology from T.N.M.C & B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai.
